Summer Kennedy

Summer Kennedy, originally from Southern California, moved to the Bay Area after receiving a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology and a minor in Packaging Design from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.  After graduation, she worked as a project coordinator for a thriving graphic design firm, prior to becoming a Project Manager in Marketing Communications for the Clorox Company. At Clorox, she was responsible for managing all graphic communications for several popular products, such as Brita Water Filtration Systems, Fresh Step Cat Litter and many of the company’s well known cleaning products.  Throughout her career, Summer’s focus on functional design and aesthetics coupled with her strong project management skills has made her a sought after professional in her field.

Leaving Clorox, after 12 years, to focus on family, a reevaluation of goals, and two of her own home remodeling projects, her true passion for interior design and decorating flourished. Eventually, she began working at Daniele Maxwell Designs, assisting with kitchen and bath remodels, interior decorating and prop styling. After several years of successfully working together, Daniele and Summer decided to join forces, adding home staging to their portfolio and becoming Maxwell Kennedy Staging and Interiors.

Summer is passionate about meeting clients goals, is dedicated to detail, and always finds a way to balance current trends and timeless quality. Outside of the studio, Summer enjoys spending time with her family and friends, outdoor activities and live music.

Daniele Maxwell

Daniele's interest in design, styling, and decorating stems from a long family history in the arts and film extending back to her roots in Hollywood.

Born in Kingston, New York, Daniele learned the decorator ropes from her talented mother, who ran a design and antique business on the East Coast. Since Daniele’s family moved numerous times while she was growing up, she got to see exciting, real life transformation projects at a young age. Her frequent moves also introduced Daniele to different design styles and environments in the Northeast, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, San Francisco, Santa Fe, and Vancouver, BC.

After receiving her Bachelor's degree from Syracuse University in English, Daniele began a career in the film industry working as a set decorator and prop stylist in Los Angeles. She then furthered her industry education at the Vancouver Film School in Vancouver, BC. Daniele continued to work in the movie industry on a number of feature films, including set decorating on Titanic. Daniele has also worked at Pixar, with major creative advertising agencies, and at The Gap Inc.

With a rich resume of experience, Daniele decided to partner with her longtime friend Summer Kennedy. Daniele and Summer met while their kids were in elementary school and soon realized they both loved design, being creative and working together. They started Maxwell Kennedy Staging & Interiors in 2018.
